Some of the preconditions to be met by any non-immigrant visa applicants are:

• The purpose of their visit must be temporary.

• The applicant must depart at the end of his/her authorized stay or extension.
• The applicant must have sufficient funds to sponsor his visit in US for which he/she may be required to show proof of financial support;
• The applicant must abide by the terms and conditions of admission.
• The applicant must hold a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity.
• The applicant must be in good health.
• The applicant must not have any pending criminal case against him.
